as a movie based from a comic book series, Sin City is a very fascinating and gritty film made by Robert Rodriguez with the input from the writer Frank Miller and Quentin Tarantino, the film follows multiple storylines in the same place called Sin City. the stories follow all kinds of charcters from acholholics to a retering police officer which are broken up induvidually into two parts each and are all mixed around so the movie seems fresher and still intersting regardless. one of the main points of the film is that it is done almost completely in the black and white style used in the origional comics. other than one or two colered in charcters, the film is permanently in black and white style which gives the film more interesting and appeal over other gritty crime thrillers which at the end of the day gives more reason to award it a 7/10

while watching this documentary on Netflix, I found myself immersed in the world of how crooked the tests for PED's was, and how Russia was cheating its own system. the whole documentary is with Bryan Fogel who sets out to prove that anti doping tests in sports are badly run and can be bypassed To do this he enlists the help of Grigory   Rodchenkov. The man who created the tests himself. Grigory creates a plan of steroids which imitates what Lance Armstrong did to win his tour de france wins. the plan proves sucessful until the russian conspiracy is uncovered and the anti doping lab Grigory works at is put into lockdown. the film then follows the events that follows with russia's suspension and the case against russia. I personally love how the documentry keeps making refrences to George Orwell's 1984 and how people are forced into compliance. villain representation analysis for the joker

when looking at the character of Heath Ledgers joker, I re-watched this scene and was completely taken back by how the producers had managed to capture the pure insanity that came with casting a new actor to play the joker, Ledger had previously locked himself in a room for extended periods of time with no hardly any access to food or water so he slowly drove himself mad and make his performance the most genuinely believable joker for the target audience of the film that was around 16 - 20 year old's with a good interest in action and superhero films. It should also be noted how Christopher Nolan made the jokers costume and make up very messy and untidy to give the joker a code of being much more wild and unpredictable.

https://youtu.be/VYOjWnS4cMY In his song, this is America, Childish Gambino uses lots of codes and refrences which can be connotated to how awful the treatment of the black comunity has been in the past. The music video starts by having bright and positive music with a man playing a guitar who looks not dissimilar to treyvan martin's father who fought for his justice when he was murdered by the police for being black. A theme that will very much be touched upon in the rest of the video. The camera then slowly pans to a close shot of Gambino who starts happily dancing to the music until he passes the man with a guitar, Pulls out a gun and strikes a pose commonly associated with Jim crow who was a cartoon that was anti black and shown in the racist show the black and white mistrel show as entertaiment for white people in the early 30s.
